Supportive Environment

The most important thing about making your Swinburne Online study experience effective and rewarding is that you will be able to keep in touch.

Our team of Student Liaison Officers will be available, by email or phone, at convenient times to assist you with anything from language and academic skills, course advice and technical issues to disability support, counselling, and career and employment information.

To assist in having a great foundation as you move to online study in a digital world, we've created a course to help you. This unit is compulsory for all Swinburne Online students and is called, Learning and Communicating Online.

The Learning and Communicating Online unit is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of communicating in an online environment. Students will gain increased competence in a range of skills such as written and online communication, collaborating in individual and group work and the ability to critique and analyse a variety of information sources. On completion of this unit students are expected to be confident online learners who are able to adapt and succeed in an online environment. And most importantly, this unit gives students credit towards completing their overall degree qualification.
